Hi, I never tried tea tree oil for a yeast infection, but I know that I can clean my dogs ear infections with it. In fact it's the only thing he will let me use. As for the yeast infections I used to get them, go the doctor, get the prescription creams and it would go away for a little while but it would always come back. Finally I searched for an alternative cure, and I found

If you are infected, taking foods that contain sugar and wheat could worsen your condition. Do not include foods with caffeine, animal fats, margarine, sugar, alcohol and junk food. You are on the other hand, advised to replace this diet with vegetables, protein-rich foods, fruits, lots of water, whole grains and flax seed oil. To prevent yourself from acquiring this yeast infection, Have your partner checked for any abnormal signs of fungal growth before having sex. Regular intake of cranberry juice could also decrease your chances of getting infected and of course, a good hygiene is also essential. Take a bath regularly and brush your teeth at least twice a day. Wear cotton underwear and prevent yourself from having any sexual activities if you are under treatment. Avoid using Bath and deodorant soaps, feminine hygiene sprays, bubble baths and also antibiotics such as amoxicillin, bactrim, septra and keflex.

I have been using tea tree oil (just a few drops on an OB tampon) inserted for about an hour. Its amazing! my itch is always cured! I have used pescription creams, amd over the counter remedies, but nothing works as fast as this and I feel much safer using something natural! I usually get infections after using an antibiotic and now i am prepared with my little bottle of oil. the only down side is that on first contact there is a hot/cold sensation, almost like an "icy-hot" feeling, it only lasts a second and the smell is a bit stronf, but its nothing a warm bath doesn't fix ;)
